Scope: H2M conducted an investigation of the existing fire sprinkler, standpipe and fire pump equipment at the Jamaica Main Post Office. Based on the condition of the existing system, piping sizing and coverage H2M provided short-term and long-term recommendations to the US Postal Service, including a recommendation to replace the existing systems and equipment. Subsequently, H2M was engaged to provide the design to retrofit new suppression systems in approximately 90,000 square feet of existing building space and provide a design and layout for a new fire pump.
