Based on the District’s requirements, a complete replacement of the existing system was performed.
The fueling system upgrade design included the following:
- Replacement of existing single wall gasoline and diesel storage tanks with new double wall fiberglass underground gasoline and diesel storage tanks.
- Replacement of existing fuel management and tank monitoring system.
- Replacement of existing fuel island, including gasoline and diesel dispensers, site controller, automatic fire suppression system, lighting system, and protective bollard system.
Throughout the project, H2M provided construction administration and construction observation services. We also applied for and obtained permits from the Nassau County Fire Marshal.
