H2M designed and coordinated the relocation of its Long Island headquarters, uniting two previously separate office locations in the process. The new space, which spans over 40,000 sq. ft., incorporates an open office concept, enabling improved communication and collaboration among staff and departments. The space also features multiple “buddy areas” for impromptu group discussions and presentations.
The space was built out entirely from scratch and incorporates a number of sustainable features. In addition to low- and zero-VOC carpeting and finishes, the new office boasts high-efficiency mechanical systems and low-flow plumbing fixtures, and furniture is composed of 84% recycled materials. To save energy, H2M utilized a layout that maximizes natural light to interior spaces as well as high-efficiency lighting fixtures and occupancy sensors.
