Project Spotlight: Erin Construction Development Co. Urban Development
H2M designed an urban development for Erin Construction Development Co. This building is a new ground-up urban development within the downtown district of Yonkers Getty Square, designed to comply with their Green Building Standards which is used to drive new infrastructure that promotes healthy living. The building will have a total of nine stories with ground floor retail, eight stories of residential (29 units total) and an outdoor rooftop amenity.
H2M’s architectural approach focused on ground-floor commercial uses to activate the street-level environment and create a concentration of pedestrian-oriented commercial uses to fit within the network throughout the District. Marketed towards young professional commuters, the project is located within walking distance to multiple public transportation services including the Metro-North and B-Line Bus, and within a half mile to primary facilities such as food markets, healthcare, and more. Units within the building include a mix of fully accessible units and comply with NYSERDA’s multi-family performance program.
The project has recently completed the excavation for the lower level and is now preparing for the new poured-in-place concrete foundation infrastructure.
