H2M received an award from the Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal naming their project a Best Engineering Project of 2019. This award was based off of the work that H2M performed on a Homeless Solutions, Inc. Affordable Housing Development in Morristown, NJ.
As part of the Homeless Solutions Inc. mission to provide, “A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out,” H2M and the HSI Housing Development team transformed an underutilized property at 88 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Morristown into eight units of affordable transitional housing. The project straddles two municipalities and coordination was key in the design and approval process to satisfy the various jurisdictions and create a neighborhood amenity. Controlling project costs was especially critical and the staff at H2M has a long-term relationship with HSI to create housing that, together with the HSI programs, successfully transition participants to independent living.
