The Board of Directors of H2M, a leading architectural, engineering, planning and environmental service firm based on Long Island, announced that Gary Loesch has been named Chief Operating Officer. Loesch’s promotion coincides with the retirement of John Molloy and the appointment of H2M’s new President and CEO, Rich Humann.
“Gary has long played a critical corporate role for H2M, managing our risk, insurance and information technology programs. I’m excited for Gary and look forward to his work with our division leadership to enhance our operations and support our achievement of the highest levels of success,” said Humann.
Along with promoting Loesch to COO, Humann named the rest of his executive team as follows: Greg Smith, Chief Financial Officer; Bob Scheiner, Chief Marketing Officer; Dennis Kelleher, President of H2M Water; and Liz Uzzo, Vice President of Human Resources.
“Together with the rest of the executive team, Gary and I will work closely together in the overall business management of the firm,” Human added.
Mr. Loesch is a resident of Sayville, NY, where he has managed and coached in both the Sayville Little League and the Baymen Soccer League. He is known for his expertise in the water and wastewater fields and is on the Board of Directors for the American Council of Engineering Companies, an organization that named him Engineer of the Year in 2011. He holds two degrees from Cornell University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master of Engineering degree, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University. He was an adjunct professor in the graduate program at Hofstra University from 2004-2007.
“We are positioned to excel in 2013. I’m pleased to be part of a long track record of successful leadership at H2M,” said Loesch.
