H2M Innovates with the First 3D Printed Senior Housing Complex in the United States
Near the Village of Farmingdale’s Main Street, H2M architects + engineers has been approved to 3D-print a 26-unit senior housing apartment complex. Known as the Mandalay Bay Holdings, Inc. 26-unit Senior Housing project, this two-story-tall-plus-basement structure will be the first 3D-printed apartment building in the United States. 3-D printing construction methods save time and money, and are more durable compared to more traditional construction techniques. The Village of Farmingdale is excited for this project as it offers seniors the opportunity to stay in their neighborhoods and reduces the need to move away for more affordable housing options.
