To address the growing Hindu population on Long Island and the need for a closer place of worship, H2M designed a 42,000 square foot, two-story community facility for the BAPS (Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan) Development team. Sustainable features such as in-floor radiant heating, tankless water heaters, high efficiency lighting, and a robust thermal envelope were incorporated in the design. The project won an ACEC Gold Award.
