H2M architects + engineers is pleased to announce that Patricia DelCol has joined the firm as the Deputy Market Director for the Long Island Municipal Market in our Melville, NY office. Patricia has more than 30 years of experience working on municipal and private projects on Long Island, specifically in the areas of engineering, environmental protection, solid waste/recycling, and overall municipal operations, finance, and management.
H2M’s successful municipal work relies on consensus building and cost efficiency. From the initial concept to the ribbon cutting, H2M works hand-in-hand with municipalities to ensure their visions become a reality. Working with community groups and municipal leaders, H2M supports bond issues and capital budgets during the early project phases. The firm’s creative solutions are balanced with a practical, problem-solving approach, which translates to a cost-effective final product.
Patricia brings her wealth of experience and leadership to H2M. She began her career with the Town of Huntington in 1986 as Director of Environmental Control. She then worked for a period of time in the private sector with Covanta Energy. She was again hired by the Town in 2005 as the Director of Engineering Services. In 2010, she was appointed Deputy Supervisor for the Town of Huntington by then-Supervisor Frank Petrone. For the past year, she has served under current Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci to help maintain consistency in town operations. In her tenure as Deputy Supervisor, DelCol said the Town’s “sound financial footing” and capital projects rank among her proudest accomplishments.
Patricia graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science and a Master of Arts in Zoology and Cell Biology from Long Island University.
Patricia will be assisting the H2M Municipal Market in the management of many of our clients and in identifying and pursuing new engineering and architectural opportunities.
