H2M Welcomes New Director of Information Technology

H2M architects + engineers is pleased to announce the addition of Ray Sirois as Director of Information Technology.

In his new role, Mr. Sirois will work to advance the implementation of company-wide software programs, improve the efficiency and functionality of the firm’s existing technologies, and identify new and innovative ways for staff to collaborate and learn from each other through technology.

Mr. Sirois joins H2M with over 20 years’ experience as the Information Technology Director for Wright-Pierce, a New England-based engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and infrastructure projects. During his tenure with Wright-Pierce, the company grew from a one-office engineering firm in Topsham, Maine, to a firm with seven office locations throughout New England.

“By leveraging the very latest in wide-area networking technology, our team was able to facilitate Wright-Pierce’s successful expansion into southern New England,” Mr. Sirois said. “H2M has similar expansion plans for their branch offices, which currently number seven in the New York and New Jersey area. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that H2M has in place and furthering the firm’s growth.”

“We’re excited to have Ray on board,” said H2M’s President and CEO, Rich Humann. “Information technology is core to our business, and we strive to leverage the best available technological tools in order to provide our clients with the most effective project outcomes. Ray has the experience, perspective and vision we need to optimize our IT systems and stay on the leading edge of software available in the A/E industry.”

“I met Ray over three years ago at a software user group meeting,” said H2M’s Chief Financial Officer, Greg Smith. “He immediately struck me as a highly motivated and extremely knowledgeable IT professional. I have never met an IT person in our industry who thinks as creatively and outside-of-the-box as Ray does.”

“It’s an exciting time for engineering and architecture firms. There is business growth, and there is a keen emphasis on making sustainable improvements to the built and natural environment,” Mr. Sirois said. The topic of sustainability has been near and dear to Mr. Sirois since 2007, when he began volunteering as a presenter for the Climate Reality Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to education and advocacy related to climate change.

Mr. Sirois holds a bachelor’s degree from Springfield College and has been a resident of Harrison, Maine, for the past 28 years. He has made his new home in West Babylon with his wife, Shelly, and their son, Nick.
