H2M Awarded

MELVILLE, NY (November 28, 2016) – H2M architects + engineers has been awarded the Ram’s Horn Award by the Farmingdale College Foundation at the Long Island Business Hall of Fame’s 12th Gala on Thursday, November 10th at the Oheka Castle for its strong commitment to community involvement.

The Ram’s Horn award is presented each year at the annual gala of the Foundation, and is given to an individual or business that supports the Foundation’s efforts to provide student scholarships, faculty development grants and fund programs and projects of the College that are not funded by the New York State budget. It is the highest award given by the Foundation.

H2M has a long history of giving to the community through a combination of employee contributions and corporate matching donations totaling over 100,000 dollars per year. A partial list of some of the organizations they support includes Farmingdale College Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, Felecian College, Outreach House, and Dowling College. Since 1933, H2M has a strong commitment to the college community by mentoring students, and funding scholarships. The strong relationship between H2M and Farmingdale College Foundation is important for students to become the future leaders of the Long Island workforce.

Over the years H2M has forged an enduring partnership with the Farmingdale College Foundation. John Molloy, the current president of the Farmingdale College Foundation was a former president of H2M, and has been on the Farmingdale College Foundation board since 2007. H2M’s current CEO Richard Humann, is continuing to strengthen the positive relationship that has been built with the college over the years. Long Island Business Hall of Fame Gala’s has been supported over the years by many of the leading corporations, businesses, and not for profits in Long Island. H2M is one of the supporters who have become collaborators with Farmingdale State College, and have selected to employ students as interns, and also as full time employees.
